Prof. R.H.Sarma
Profile
Prof. Sarma born on 20 April 1944 had more than years of experience in the banking industry and Banking Education.

Work experience
He had served in RBI & NABARD in various capacities when he was 51 and General Manager in NABARD in 1995, he assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer, Indian Institute Of Banking and Finance (IIBF). He was associated with banking education for nearly 17 years; of which for 8 years he was a core faculty in different training colleges of NABARD and another 9 years was the CEO of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.

Educational Experience
The Institute (IIBF) is the premier professional educational institution for finance professionals in India having a membership of nearly 700 banks and financial institutions and nearly three lakh professionals. The Institute was working with a mission of building a competent cadre of Banking and finance professionals' in India through a system of education, training, research and consultancy. The IIBF conducted professional examinations of different levels for the present and prospective finance professionals. . He as the CEO of IIBF was instrumental in designing a number of educational courses.

Publications
He has authored a number of articles and research papers. In the last one year as Chairman, Center for Banking & Finance studies, IBS, Mumbai he had authored the five research papers:

He had also conducted a full scale Research Study on Correlation of size and profitability in Indian Banks in 2005.

He has presented a number of papers in National and International Seminars/conferences; the last one was the International Conference on Banc assurance organized by MARCUS EVANS of Malaysia.

Public Offices
He was the public representative director in the Board of Interconnected Stock exchange at Mumbai. He was also the Honorary Advisor for training matters for ISE.

He was a member in the Banking & Finance Committees of FICCI and Indian Merchant Chamber of Commerce.

He was the member of the steering Group on Postal savings constituted by GOI.
