Y. Shridhar Hegde has over 40 years' experience in the banking and financial services industries including investment banking.. He is a former General Manager of Canara Bank and erstwhile Managing Director of Canfin Homes Ltd. The100 -year-old Canara Bank is one of India's top five banks. Hegde trained in an International Banking programme at the Midland Bank, London. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers, London. Hegde also holds a Bachelor's degree in Law. His role and responsibilities in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) include business development, especially on Banking products including investment banking and services, and competency development in Banking, Management Consulting, Public Relations and Training. Hegde's illustrious life is multi-faceted. Over a period of nearly five decades, he has held strategic positions in Banking traditional as well investment and Management education around the country. He is Managing Committee member of the Bangalore Management Association, a 1992 recipient of the Gem of India award given by the New Delhi-based All-India Achievers' Conference and a former Director of the Rotary Club (Bangalore Main).
